LaCantina Aluminum Wood Pocketing Multi Slide System

Best of LaCantina 2018 Most Innovative

Adorned with custom steel, stone, and natural wood elements throughout, the Clyde Hill house is spacious and contemporary, yet surprisingly homey.

The house was designed from the beginning to be "an entertainer's dream," with an expansive kitchen and separate bar area, a sleek wine "cellar," multiple gathering and dining areas, fireplaces inside and outside, and plenty of sweeping views.

The back of the home faces Lake Washington. Builder Dean Homes capitalized on this, placing large windows and glass door systems on both levels and across the angled rear elevation.

To open the house to the outdoors, the builder chose LaCantina's Ali-Wood (or Aluminum Wood) Pocketing Multi Slide door system, which allows five glass panels to disappear completely into the neighboring wall for a fully unobstructed view. The system's authentic vertical grain fir interior complements the natural wood elements inside the home.

The Clyde Hill Modern project's creativity and breezy elegance helped it capture our 2018 Best of LaCantina Award for Most Innovative.
