Known as the best deep dish in the Windy City, Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria has grown to a total of 53 locations in the Chicagoland area since opening the first restaurant in 1971. In 2015, the Malnati’s family decided to open a much-anticipated location in the North Center neighborhood, which had been considered a “Lou’s desert” due to a gap of the popular pizzerias between Lincoln Park and Lincolnwood.

The former pancake house turned pizza heaven is a unique building at the intersection of Lincoln and Montrose avenues and features LaCantina’s Folding Systems to open the restaurant to the bustling streets of Chicago. The front atrium section is surrounded by folding glass walls on three sides that open accordion-style for an indoor-outdoor dining experience when weather permits.
